Multi-chain Support

The notion behind Metatun Game is not about creating an independent closed game for Metatun NFT, nor is it just the implementation of an application on one particular chain. Our goal is to support multi-chain games and open cooperation with third party projects and NFTs.

The industry is still in an early stage where cryptocurrency/NFT traders and gamers who like to play-to-earn games form a small community compared to the traditional industries. The ever-increasing number of public blockchains and sidechains creates divisions among these users, and the unsustainable growth in the number of players cannot really sustain a game in the long run on certain blockchains, which is one of the challenges faced by GameFi industry currently.

We have been actively exploring and trying to support more blockchains when developing our game after our NFT release on Solana. Using the blockchain information transparency feature, we designed a fast and solid system to provide basic support for all blockchains (specific implementation still needs to be researched and developed for specific blockchains). We aim to allow players to buy Metatun NFTs to play on their preferred blockchains.

Currently, the second blockchain we have chosen to support besides Solana is the VeChain, which is still in its early stages but has a lot of potential for both gamers and collaborative projects. In addition, the VeChain has a smart-contract implementation similar to the Ethereum blockchain, which allows us to implement features including multi-level whitelisting, NFT Blind Boxes (mystery boxes) and in-game related features at a lower cost; these features are currently not supported by Solana's smart contract.

It is also worth mentioning that the Metatun Game itself operates on a same game client supporting NFTs on different blockchains; this ensures that the ongoing expansion of the game will not impact the game experiences of existing players. With a larger player-community, we could get more accurate and effective game feedback to adjust the game mechanics for a greater balance on entertainment value and sustainable rewards.

Our Approach on Third-party NFTs

We are working towards uniting third-party NFTs and game projects to form a practical game meta-universe, so that NFT collections can circulate not only as gaming assets, but also immortalize the culture of the project behind each NFT collection in the game. We believe while this is a huge endeavor, all it takes is time and constant efforts.

Third-party Cooperation Methods

Standard Cooperation

This mode of cooperation involves the import of third-party project assets into the Metatun Game where players holding third-party NFTs can obtain exclusive costumes and NFT pets in the game.

Third-party NFT project owners are required to provide necessary information and a small number of NFTs to assist our system in collecting metadata of third-party NFTs and conduct in-game tests such as dressing up NFT game characters and procedures for receiving pets (NFTs provided for our integration tests will be returned after the tests are completed).

We could combine the themes and styles of third-party NFTs with our game assets to create exclusive costumes associated with the identities of the third-party NFT projects partnered with us.

We could also provide exclusive pet models to third-party NFT projects partnered with us under the following game conditions:

• third-party NFT pets can join players in the adventure mode. See details at Combat Pet System;

• third-party NFT pets will not increase the number of pets that players are allowed to bring to battle;

• pet attributes and skills will be restricted to a standard game framework.

Strategic Cooperation

On top of the support given in the standard cooperation, valued partners who provide monetary or in-kind contributions to our project will receive additional support and assistance for their third-party projects to build a town/city and gathering place with their own style in our Metatun world, and other necessary implementations such as the assembly of character models according to their NFT collection for a deeper strategic cooperation in the longer term.

At the moment, we do not support the modification of adventure mode or other functionalities affecting our game mechanics with third-party project partners. Third-party NFT holders are expected to own a Metatun to participate in our Metatun Game as any other player would.
